Tuesday, July 4, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Come join this patriotic salute to our nation, with marching bands, fire engines old and new, cars and vans, service clubs and scouts! ROUTE: Stepoff is at Amos Garrett and West Street. We'll head down West Street, wrong way around Church Circle, down Main Street, left on Randall Street, and ends in front of the Market House. Anywhere along the parade route will provide a good view of the parade.
Independence Day Fireworks Cruise
Even though the fireworks cruise is sold out, you can always plan ahead and avoid the fireworks traffic and still get out on the water. Come early for a sail on the Schooner Woodwind before catching the fireworks show from City Dock or Eastport.
4th of July Fireworks in Historic Annapolis
Tuesday, July 4, 9:15 pm
Annapolis launches its fireworks from a barge in Annapolis Harbor. The best viewing areas include public spaces Northeast of the Severn River, City Dock, along the Naval Academy Bridge (limited parking area), any of the street-end parks facing Spa Creek, and aboard a boat in the Annapolis harbor. The Spa Creek Bridge will be closed to traffic from Eastport into Annapolis beginning at 6 p.m. The bridge will remain closed until the conclusion of the fireworks, at approximately 10 p.m. Please be aware that the closer you get to downtown the harder it will be to park and the more difficulty you will have getting out of town after the celebration.
Celebrating at City Dock
WRNR will take over the hosting duties at the 4th of July fireworks display in downtown Annapolis. The station will broadcast live, high above the City Dock, from their mobile, 30 foot high, WRNR Sky Box Studios. Starting at 8pm, WRNR will air a special holiday playlist, featuring RNRtists and special Red White and Blue songs, like Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen, American Girl by Tom Petty, Living in America by James Brown, Lenny Kravitz’s American Woman, even Lee Greenwood's God Bless The USA. Keeping with tradition, “Stars and Stripes Forever” will play at 9:15pm, signaling the countdown to the fireworks display, high above Annapolis Harbor. During the fireworks spectacular, WRNR will play a patriotic montage of music to accompany the dazzling fireworks display.
Due to heavy traffic and large attendance, local garages may fill up early. Therefore, the city will also provide shuttle service from the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (Gate 5) to Lawyers Mall from 5 p.m. to midnight.
