Looking for a little art while in town? Head to West Street – between Church Circle and the Westin Annapolis Hotel – and experience Annapolis’ thriving Art District. Here, you’ll find dozens of restaurants, art galleries, and music venues offering everything from painting classes, fine art for sale, and annual events.

Dining in the Arts District

Aside from a variety of art galleries, some of the local’s favorite restaurants call the Arts District home – many of which also supply patrons with live music after the sun goes down.

Events in the Arts District

Events are another reason why locals love the Arts District. Every first Sunday of the month, from May through November, the first block of West Street is closed down for the First Sunday Arts Festival. Local artisans set up tents and offer passersby some of the area’s most unique and tasteful arts and crafts. The Fringe Festival and Chocolate Binge Festival are other, uniquely Annapolis festivals, packed with quirky events and entertainment.

With two parking garages located on West Street, the Arts District is also the perfect place to leave the car and start your exploration of the city.
