Kelly and Mitchell were married on a lovely June day in the United States Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis with their many friends and family members in attendance from all over the country. Afterward, we visited many locations around the Naval Academy campus for photos of the newlyweds, including a stop at the seawall where they frequently had lunch together while Mitchell was attending the Academy. Then it is was off to Chartwell Golf & Country Club in Severna Park, Maryland for cocktail hour and a fun-filled reception including a lively dance party.
Kelly and Mitchell met in the fall of 2013 while both were in college. Kelly was attending the University of Delaware, and Mitchell, of course, was at the Naval Academy. Mitchell and some of his friends visited the University of Delaware one weekend, and Kelly and Mitchell met by chance while both were out with friends. After that, they spent every weekend together that they could! After graduating from the Naval Academy, Mitchell went into the Marines and got stationed in North Carolina and Kelly made the move with him.
Then, in December 2017 on a trip back home for the holidays to visit with family, Mitchell decided to make a pitstop on the campus of the University of Delaware. He proposed to Kelly under the “kissing arches” on that campus, and they celebrated their engagement with their friends and family over the holiday break.
