15th Annual Boatyard Beach Bash

The 15th Annual Boatyard Beach Bash to benefit the Annapolis Maritime Museum returns on September 14, 2019!  Boatyard owner, Dick Franyo is on the Board of the Annapolis Maritime Museum and had a vision for a fund/fun raiser with a Jimmy Buffett/Parrot Head theme. Dick is a Parrot Head and looked hard at the Jimmy Buffett's model of selling a lifestyle/entertainment/escapism venue when he started the Boatyard. He felt that this event could be different than other local musical fundraisers and that Parrot Heads would be enthusiastic supporters.

Outgrowing the Boatyard parking lot after three years, the event was moved to the newly renovated Annapolis Maritime Museum waterfront facility in Eastport.

This Event is Brought to You By Annapolis Maritime Museum

The Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park is a waterfront museum at the mouth of Back Creek overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. The museum is housed in what was historically the last oyster-packing plant in Annapolis. The museum engages visitors in an interactive experience that highlights the oyster and its role in shaping both the history and maritime culture of Annapolis. Our displays include an 850-gallon aquarium, a traditional deadrise workboat, and the history of the McNasby seafood packing company. The Museum operates from a waterside campus on the shores of Back Creek, with unequaled views of the Chesapeake Bay. The historic McNasby building is the ideal setting for meaningful waterfront education experiences, maritime seminars, concerts, and other programs and events.

The Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park offers education programs for school-aged children and adults as well as exhibits and special event, an annual winter lecture series, art exhibits. The museum space is available for private rentals. For more information about volunteer opportunities and upcoming events, please visit www.amaritime.org.

The museum is FREE and open to the public Tuesday - Sunday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. The museum is open year-round. Our docks are open to the public year-round from dawn to dusk. Private tours can be scheduled any day of the week, please call 410-295-0104 x 19.
