Interaction with Guests
I work downtown and always try to meet with first time guests to welcome you, show you around and answer questions you might have about our beautiful home and city. We live right up the river and are always available by phone.
While sitting on our front porch you can hear the church bells ring at the Navy Chapel and see the hustle and bustle of the United States Naval Academy right across the street. We are around the corner from the historic State Capital building and down the street from Annapolis City dock. Once you park in our off street parking spot, you can walk everywhere you need to go.
Most visitors walk around Annapolis, or take a water taxi, rickshaw (pedicab) and with our handy parking you can also drive yourself.
Other Things to Note
We have recently put our heart and soul into this remodeling job including taking out walls, updating and perfecting the space. We hope that you will love it as much as we do. This is not your average "rental" property. Since we do not live here, there is no feeling like you are in someone else's home with the childrens toys stuffed in a closet or other peoples belongings stuffed in drawers! We have a 2 night minimum, except for holidays and Navy events and Navy home football weekends, when we ask for a 3 night minimum.
We ask that our guests do not smoke and we do not allow pets. We have 3 dogs of our own but to keep a rental spectacular, we must enforce this policy. No exceptions....not even our pooches! : )
We have completely renovated this historic home so it has all of the modern clean lines and coastal decor with the old charm of a historic Annapolis home. Deep rich hardwoods throughout the first floor vastly open living area make it a perfect gathering spot for several couples, a large family or a Navy family hosting many hungry and tired midshipmen.
I am a life long Annapolitan and Navy parent who enjoys meeting nice people who will take pride in our house. We have had so much fun renovating these "downtown houses" for ourselves and our friends and renters. I love chatting with and getting to know and then finally meeting our renters. I am happy to share all of my knowledge, experience, and suggestions for a fun visit to my favorite city in the world, Annapolis, Maryland!
"We stayed at this house for a business trip, and it was perfect for us! It is across the street from the US Naval Academy, and walking distance to a coffee shop and restaurants. The house was fully renovated, freshly painted, with new furnishings....it was immaculate. The main room has a seating area, dining table and a beautiful bar. The lush towels and the cookies were a nice touch. There is off street parking. Cindy was very helpful and prompt in all her communications. I highly recommend it if you are in the Annapolis area!"
"What an amazing place! We felt welcomed the minute we walked through the door. The owners of this house have created a wonderful "home" for the traveler. Beautifully decorated and only 2 blocks from the center of Annapolis. House sits right across the street from the Naval Academy. We took my Airman who has been deployed away for a long weekend. The house gave us a great atmosphere to enjoy each other's company. thank you so much to the Haworth's. They are top notch and were very helpful and accommodaing to our requests."
