Virtuosos on clarinet and saxophone, (New York Times) Peter and Will Anderson are one of the most extraordinary set of brothers performing music today. Theyre known for their exciting arrangements of jazz classics and fresh original music. Hailing from Bethesda, Maryland, they moved to New York City to attend Juilliard. Endorsees of Selmer saxophones and DAddario reeds, theyve appeared with the Jimmy Heath Big Band, Jazz @ Lincoln Center Orchestra, Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, and Wycliffe Gordon Septet. Peter and Will have headlined at The Blue Note, Kennedy Center, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Sarasota Florida Jazz Festival, DCs Blues Alley, and Arizona Music Festival. Their ensemble has performed in over 35 U.S.
States, toured Japan, and featured legends Lou Donaldson, Paquito DRivera, and the Heath Brothers. As guest clinicians, Peter and Will have visited Temple, Xavier, Florida State, Ohio State, and Michigan State Universities. Peter and Wills 2012 debut release, Correspondence, features Kenny Barron and was listed in Vanity Fair alongside Miles Davis in Four New Releases to Make You Love Jazz. Their recent release, Reed Reflections, was called imaginatively unfolding in ways that consistently bring a fresh perspective to classic jazz tunes. (Washington Post)
