Music for a New World II

Maestro Green knows how to finish with a flourish in this season final!  This super-sized season finale is an all-out festival of ethereal and luscious works for chorus and orchestra.  He began the 2016-2017 season with W.A. Mozart’s Requiem, one of the most well known and celebrated works ever written and one every composer that came after it was influenced by.  Maestro Green ties up the season with several pieces by 20th- and 21st-Century composers that connect back to that music.  He promises that, once heard live, the pieces performed on this concert will become instant favorites.  Get ready to hear the Annapolis Chorale and Annapolis Chamber Orchestra perform  Dan Forrest’s “Requiem For The Living,” Ola Gjeilo’s “Luminous Night of the Soul,” Eric Whitacre’s “The Seal Lullaby” and Arvo Pärt’s “Da pacem Domine.”  Find out the hidden connections with Mr. Green and the Chorale!
